Our Story And How It All Started

The first Buko Express branch was opened in San Pablo City Laguna offering coconut juice as the main product . After a few months of operation the owners decided to try wider market and open another branch in Recto Station Sta. Cruz Manila. People seems to love the concept and start buying coconut juice as their regular need. Due to the overwhelming demand for coconut juice the owner noticed a big waste on coconut meat so they try to experiment ways on how to use the excess coconut meat and come up with a new product “coconut shake” which also made a great addition in increasing the sales of the company. As the owners continue to provide quality products to its customers people are starting to ask about the business and later on engaged in it’s first franchise venture. Branch in Recto Station , Sta. What We Do

Buko Express is one of the significantly emerging food cart concept in the market today that started as an offshoot of Sonia Buko and Native Kakanin Express chain of food carts by an enterprising couple in the year 2005.

We guarantee 100% natural juice serves in a systematic way wherein the coconut is extracted and chilled in a hygienic manner keeping its freshness and natural elements. Because of the countless benefits of coconut, we certainly address the needs of people who are health conscious.

We solve the problem of answering to the demand of Buko Juice in modern way which consist of chilling the juice soon after it was extracted without needing to add ice or cold. Pioneering is the right word for this system which consists in extracting, chilling the coconut juices hygienically and safely, keeping its natural properties.

Buko Express is named after the word “Buko” filipino word for coconut combined with “express” which means “squeeze out” and“operating at fast speed” which perfectly describes the process we use in our production as coconut is already prepared once the customer orders solving the coconut cravings of people who live in cities where coconut is hard to find.

On the other hand, the fact of extracting the juice in right moment guarantees the quality of our products through a new technology that also allows the conquest and settlement of large sections in the market such as: shopping center , supermarkets, schools, metro-stations and so on.

We are also proud to be the pioneer of Coconut shake in the Philippines a new choice for coconut lovers made out of 100% pure and natural young coconut meat. With the growing market demand the company started franchising in early 2009 starting with a food cart of Buko express with products consisting of only coconut juice and shake.

Due to successful franchising the owner decided to come up with a new line of products which was then launched in 2012 named as Buko Express Pies and Sweets launching a new variety of products such as on the spot baking of famous coconut pie and marketing different native delicacies.

Now the company has 3 franchise packages offered to all aspiring entrepreneurs. These are food cart (juice and shake), food kiosk (juice, shake and on the spot baking of pies) and full concept dine in restaurant.

This made way for the company to continue to expand the business nationwide and continue to serve our consumers with a product that was formerly available to consumers only in a marginal way.
